Summary: After School Reading Program


Funds support an after school reading program at the El Cajon Salvation Army and the EL Cajon Boys & Girls Club. Funds are used to provide food, activities and homework with an emphasis on Reading. All reading assignment are 20-30 minutes long daily. (Often longer). These funds also provide much needed books for the students. Both the Boys & Girls Club and the Salvation Army have staff that work with the students daily. Volunteers from the El Cajon Rotary Club assist students with reading also.
