Summary: Fund a playground item at community park
In 1995, hundreds of volunteers in Denton, TX built Eureka Park with a playground for children. It does not meet new playground standards and volunteers are raising funds and will provide labor to renovate the playground. Our club will sponsor a specific piece of playground equipment. We are looking at a Pole Forest or a Challenge Bridge with a sponsor cost of $2,500 to $3,000. The City will have volunteer days where our members will assist other community volunteers in constructing the park. We may have the opportunity to also provide food and drinks to volunteers at a projected cost of $500. As a sponsor, the Rotary Club of Denton will be noted as a sponsor. This is a great project to provide children a safe, fun outdoor environment and spread the word of Rotary.
