Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego North Total Budget: $7,000 Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Seven projects to benefit Interact, local elementary students, Boy Scouts and military families 1) RYLA-send at least four Interact students to leadership development camp, est cost=$1,000 2) Interact club support-will fund projects for Mt. Carmel and Westview Interact involving local and international projects such as providing bikes to students in India to facilitate attending school, est cost=$1,000 3) Dictionary literacy-distribute dictionaries to 700 students at five local elementary schools, est cost=$900 4) Cub Scout packs support-provides re-charter fees and project support fees for four local packs, est cost=$600 5)Fun Run project-our 28th annual run,attended by 1,000 runners from 30 local elementary schools. The Committee approved a match of $3500. in DDF to match Club funds for this project. 6-Aug-15 System Entry Project approved by the District Approval Committee. 12-Sep-15 System Entry Check for DDF payment issued by Foundation Treasurer. 17-Mar-16 by Bryan Gust Status as of today: Interact support partially funded, dictionaries fully funded, Fun Run project fully funded, fun run equipment partially funded and military support fully funded. 29-Mar-16 System Entry Project has been implemented and final report uploaded. 31-Mar-16 by Marge Cole San Diego North Rotary Club will return $1189.34 in unused funds from this project to the District. When funds are received, the grant will be Completed. 17-Apr-16 System Entry Project reverted to 'Paid' status. 18-Apr-16 by Marge Cole A check for $1189.34 was received at the Rotary District Office. It will be returned to the District Grants account. This will close the grant for SD North Rotary Club. 18-Apr-16 System Entry Project has been implemented and final report uploaded. 18-Apr-16 System Entry Final report approved by the District Approval Committee.
