Project Description Country: USA Location: Weatherford, TX Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Books, tables and chairs for Jobs for Life program to assist those in poverty a way to live independtly without financial assistance. Rotary Club of Weatherford has partnered with Center of Hope for a number of years, many Rotarians volunteer in different capacities. The Center believes there are three areas of poverty: physical, emotional, and spiritual. They seek to address these areas with groceries, financial assistance, and mentoring relationships. Through many years of service, they have learned through success and failures how to better serve those in need. The Center has developed a program known as "Jobs for Life," to give those in need hope for the future through independent living and job skills. The needs of this project are tables, chairs and books for training. Rotary Club of Weatherford will also supply 2,000 canvas/cloth bags printed with Rotary logo for grocery carry-out from the food pantry at Center of Hope.
