Project Description Country: Indonesia Location: Bandung Total Budget: $3,000 Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development Activity Type: Education: Scholarships Summary: Two vocational high school scholarships for orphans in Bandung, Indonesia. In partnership with Fort Worth Sister Cities, the Rotary Club of Fort Worth has identified two students from an orphanage in Bandung, Indonesia who were accepted to vocational high school. These schools require tuition to be paid, so the Rotary Club of Fort Worth has raised $1500 to help pay for tuition. The matching funds would allow the club to pay for the full year tuition and supplies for two students. One student is studying mechanics, and the other is in the culinary program. Both will be trained for work in these areas, and have the skills to start their own business upon graduation. Mentoring, encouragement, and progress reports will be provided by Sister Cities volunteers and Rotarians in Bandung.
