Total Budget: $45,000

Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Basic education and literacy

Summary: Renovation of a drilled but not equiped borehole for the school situated in Molo Nakuru County, Kenya. The project will provide clean water for drinking, cooking and washing for the 1500 pupils and staff in this school.

Moto Primary School with a pupil population of 1500 came into existence following the 2007/2008 Post Election Violence (PEV) in Kenya. The school has no supply of water at all; and the children carry very small jericans of water from their makeshift IDP camps for washing of hands and classrooms. The renovation of this borehole will provide adequate supply of clean water to the school and prevent possibility of disease breakout resulting from lack of water.

The borehole referred to was drilled by well wishers but not completed due to inadequate funds.
