Summary: Rolling Readers is a project that focuses on providing books and reading to K-1 low income students in the Escondido Union School District.
The Rotary CLub of Escondido wants to provide books for the 9 Title I schools in the Escondido Union School District. In addition to providing the books for the children, Rotarians will participate in a volunteer reading program in the K-3rd grade classrooms at the 9 schools in Escondido, CA. We will be purchasing our books from Rolling Readers. This is a program that started in 2011, with a grant from the District and it was so successful that the club wishes to continue it and expand the reading participation.
