Hi Herb. As 2016-17 club president, you cannot be the primary contact person for the grant application. That person - whom we refer to as the grant manager -- must be someone other than the club president in the grant year. I have reverted your application to "fully pledged" status that you can appoint another member to manage this grant, substituting his name & contact information for yours in the application. When s/he resends for signatures, do not include myself or other district officers for signatures, only the primary contact person and the 2016-17 club president. Instructions for 2016-17 grants are available at www.rotary5400.com in the grants folder at the top of the home page.

Your grant application for Aberdeen Rotary Park Improvements has been approved for the total amount of DDF you requested, $500. Please confirm in “History Logs” at www.matchinggrants.org that you intend to proceed with the project as submitted to initiate the funding process. If you anticipate a reduction in the total budget, please cancel the signature process (“Description” tab – “Administration”) and adjust your financing to reflect revisions, and then send again for signatures. Changes will be reviewed by the district before final approval and notification of grant award. You may as of July 6, 2016 incur expenses on your approved project. During the month of July, 2017, the Aberdeen Rotary Park Improvement project was completed. A high school student, Gavin Love, was recruited to manage the picnic table installation as part of a senior class project. A concrete pad was poured. A high quality picnic table purchased and placed on the pad. Two garbage cans, one for recyclables, were purchased and placed at the site.
