Project Description Country: USA Location: Anchorage , Alaska Total Budget: $3,100 Area of Focus: Water and sanitation Activity Type: Water: Supply/Access Summary: One drinking fountain provided to an elementary school with 300 students. Muldoon elementary school houses some of the poorest students in Anchorage. The school has an existing fountain that is old and breaks down frequently. This new one will give them a newer model. The project also includes providing each student in the school a water bottle with the Anchorage Gateway Rotary logo on it. The project is slated to be finished by September of 2016. The total cost for this project is $3100.00 and the matching grant will be used towards the purchase of the water fountain. Club members will be involved in the presentation of the fountain and water bottles to the school. We have bought and delivered the water fountain and have worked with the YMCA to purchase and deliver 400 water bottles with both the Rotary and YMCA logos on them.
