Project Description Country: USA Location: Alliance Total Budget: $1,250 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Filling various needs for four community organizations Our community block grant will benefit four different local organizations, filling specific needs for each. 1) East Point Horspice is a youth therapeutic riding academy needing a special size of helmet for a boy because of his brain tumor. 2) Bulldog Backpack Program has seen an increasing number of kids in the school system in need. We will supply food and supplies 3) Northwest Community Action Food Pantry needs food for their increasing numbers as well. 4) Alliance Area YMCA Youth Programs needs 10 disadvantaged children sponsored for one of their many camps.
