Our community has a fairly new homeless shelter and the director of the shelter is a Rotarian. His staff has shared the need with our club for the need of a new washer/dryer and tv for the guests staying at the shelter. Club members will purchase a proposed stackable washer/dryer for the Crossroads Mission Homeless Shelter in our community in Kearney, Nebraska. The cost from the Sears store is $1079 plus tax - $1154.53 - possibly a delivery fee. Our club members will also purchase a 50 inch tv for the shelter. The cost from Walmart is $448 plus tax - $479.36. Total cost projected is $1633.89 - with estimating delivery & price fluctuations - rounding up to $1675.00.
