Project Description Country: USA Location: St. Paul NE Total Budget: $1,250 Area of Focus: Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Provide funding for cemetery improvements that ease access, especially handicapped access, and place for services for columbarium. This grant request is the first priority for the St. Paul Rotary Club. This grant seeks to add much needed landscaping around a columbarium in the City of St. Paul's Elmwood cemetery. At the present time, the columbarium sits in an open section of Elmwood, with no handicapped access, hardscape area for services, or place for flower display. These are greatly needed to appropriately serve bereaved families. Donations and cemetery income has paid for the columbarium purchase and installation and will pay for basic concrete work to the area. Much needed landscaping for access and services remains a high priority.
