Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Ensenada Total Budget: $10,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Two one-day dental and vision clinics to treat school children in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico Irvine Rotary members, other Rotarians and volunteer dental and eye care professionals travel to Ensenada twice a year, Fall and Spring, to hold a one-day dental and eye clinic open to all children in a selected school. In two one-day clinics, the dental team treats between 50 and 100 children, providing up to $60,000 worth of free services. In addition to the dental component, an optometrist also checks and prescribes free glasses for up to 100 children and adults. See attached Application, Budget and Participation Agreement.
