Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Economic and community development
Activity Type:
Community Development: General
Summary: Enhance the entry and the playground of the Nampa Family Shelter
The Nampa Family Shelter serves the homeless in our community on a daily basis. The playground is in need of refreshing with new bark that our Rotary Club members will install. The project will also include outdoor seating and shading so the parents and children can be outside and enjoy the area and playground equipment.
Rotarians will also clean up the entire grounds and refresh with bark for a more attractive environment for the families to enjoy.
We will also take out the worn and soiled carpet in the entry way and have professionals replace it with wood laminate that will be a more comforting experience for those in our community who are experiencing transition.
An estimate of the costs are attached in the document area for this project.

Your request to change the use of $500 of your project that was originally to purchase outdoor tables, seating, and shading and instead purchase two laptop computers, programs, and a printer to create a work area for residents to compose resumes, search for employment, and apply on-line for employment is approved.
