There are 100 women that have been through the initial training, using the tools available through the US Microfinance Program, (USMP). The women are able to self-assess, set goals, learn financial skills,develop their plan, and take their first steps toward a brighter future for themselves and their children.
Women are elligible to receive a $250.00 loan which may be used toward income generating activities. This loan must be paid back over 25 weeks. When paid women may apply for additional loans up to $1,000.00. The training cycle repeats multiple times over the course of a year.
These loans will be repaid and then redirected to additional borrowers, making the impact far greater than the initial 20 women women who will be greatly helped toward realizing their goals.
