Project Description Country: USA Location: Santa Fe Springs Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Back to school backpack giveaway in partnership with the City of Santa Fe Springs For the last three years, the city of Santa Fe Springs and the Rotary club of SFS have donated school supplies and backpacks to local families in need. Our club collaborates with the city to reach more people. Our goal is to give away 200 backpacks and supplies to youths age 5-18. Families will be screened by the city to make sure they meet necessary criteria. Additional resources from other nonprofits will also be available when the backpacks are distributed.
