Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Children's reading books will be provided to low income children in Title 1 schools in San Diego Mid-City Area To help promote a love of reading and to improve reading test scores for children, availability of books is a key component. Many children in low income areas who attend Title 1 identified schools, do not have books in their home and their access to libraries is often limited. This project will distribute books to children in grades Kindergarten through third grade in Title 1 schools in the San Diego Mid-City Area.
