Total Budget: $1,500

Area of Focus: None

Activity Type: Community Development: General

Summary: Replacing trees at soccer complex.

We are applying for this grant as our club Centennial Grant Project.

Our club project is to replace six trees at the Lander Soccer Complex that have been damaged, which will eventually provide shade for the participants, be astheticlly pleasing to the community and helpful to the environment. Members of the club will be providing hands on participation while working under the direction of Rick Deeds, Scottsbluffs Park Supervisor, to replace the six trees with either locust or cottonwood trees and placing mulch around each tree. The cost of this project is projected to be $1,500.00, the trees will be 81/2 caliper and are priced at $250.00 per tree. We would like to complete this project this fall as Rick feels that is the best season to plant trees.
