Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $600 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Increase Reading Levels & Test Scores in Title 1 schools. To help promote a love of reading and improve reading test scores. Many children in low-income areas, often have no books in their home and limited access to libraries. Rotarians will read to classes and distribute books to 1st & 2nd Grade students attending Title 1 schools in the Southeast San Diego area. Project to be completed by 12/31/2016.
