Summary: This project provides resources to Non-Profits to effectively lead their organizations


Rural Philanthropy Days is a program organized by the State of Colorado that provides nonprofit leaders with the resources they need to lead effective and sustainable organizations. The conference convenes nonprofits, city and county government officials and Funders to share ideas and develop collaborative opportunities in order to build the capacity of local organizations and communities to address regional social issues. This conference has been in NW Colorado only once in the past 12 years and never in Craig. The conference typically attract 300-400 people and gives these attendees a firsthand understanding of their communities unique strengths, challenges and areas of need. The total budget for the Rural Philanthropy Days is $47,000. The Craig Rotary Club and District 5540 portion of this event is $3,150 dealing with registration. The conference is being put on by the State with the support of the Craig Economic Development Partnership, The Craig Chamber of Commerce and the Craig Rotary Club.
