Girdwood is a small community of 2,500 people with a wide range of incomes, work opportunities, housing and food needs. The Girdwood Community Garden, an extension of the Girdwood Food Pantry, was created 5 years ago to provide raised garden beds as a community resource to grow vegetables/food using sustainable practices, to provide organic gardening education to individuals about the food plant growth cycle and to provide an outdoor space for community members to congregate and work together. It also would provide fresh vegetables to the Food Pantry for distribution.

This project will take place during the months of May through September.
