Our club was approached by Northwest Community Action Partnership to help them develop a Volunteer Reception Center for our community. The Center would tackle the volunteer coordination issue that is present after many disasters. They are currently training a team of 20-25 citizens to deploy to disaster-affected communities in a four-county area, in order to set up a volunteer intake center which would be able to dispatch and keep track of volunteers. In order to complete their mission, there are certain supplies that they will need.
The Chadron Rotary Club would like to use the grant funds to purchase the items needed to create two of the "go-boxes" for the Center. The items for the go-boxes can be found using the following link: http://a.co/73vJXuI
The items would be purchased as soon as the funds were available and the go-boxes would be assembled and delivered to the person in charge of the Center shortly thereafter.
