Project Description Country: USA Location: Boise Total Budget: $900 Area of Focus: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution Activity Type: Education: Volunteer Services Summary: Provide resources to support Galileo STEM Academy Kind Kids Club We are looking for funds to support the expansion of the Kind Kids Club at Galileo STEM Academy. We nominated the club to become one of KTVB's Seven's Heroes and you can watch the video here: http://www.ktvb.com/news/education/kindness-club-makes-its-mark-at-eagle-school/422721808 Funds would be used for the following purposes: $600 for 100 Kind Kids Club t-shirts @ $6 each $200 for general supplies to support student efforts to include art supplies, paper, etc. $100 to purchase 100 journals for students to write about their efforts T-shirts have to be earned by students, will carry the Eagle/Garden City logo and are a visible symbol of a student's commitment to the club's values such as gratitude, compassion, and kindness. The club will assist in the awarding of t-shirts as well as participating in joint service projects. At least 4 Rotarians will participate in each of the events with a total minimum volunteer commitment of 20 hours.
