Project Description Country: USA Location: La Mesa and Spring Valley Total Budget: $2,500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Provide Dictionaries for 3rd graders We have been doing this literacy out reach for the last 12 years.It is a great project to support teacher curriculum. Students and families, students of la Mesa, Spring Valley School District.We will be providing dictionaries to all in the Spring Valley School District 3rd grade students. We will have Rotarian speak about Rotary as service in every class room. It will take about twenty Rotarians to complete this project. Each child can improve reading, vocabulary, word origins and spelling. We always receive thank notes from the kids. This project should be completed during the month of December 2017.
