Our club has funded several $500 scholarships to area graduates to utilize toward college or trade school expenses for the past several years. Our club will match funds to provide at least four scholarships. For the past two years, we have funded five graduates.
The Rotary club of Taylor will issue (4) $500.00 scholarships to high school students who graduate from area high schools. Students must fill out an application and be approved. The students then pick what college or trade school they will attend and the club issues the check to the college or trade school.

Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)
After requesting the grant, our club met with the Northland Pioneer College scholarship coordinator, Betsy Wilson. She suggested that $500 doesn't go too far, even at a community college, and that we consider awarding two $1,000 scholarships instead. Our club voted to do so. The total funds and expenditures are unchanged, but we provided two awards instead of four.
