Summary: Create & provide basic necessities bags for local San Diego homeless teens


In partnership with Urban Street Angels, they have a need for basic necessities for our local homeless teens living on the streets. These bags will be both handed out on the streets as well as distributed as part of their two pop-up overnight shelters.

We've worked with Urban Street Angels to determine which items are the most critical and difficult to obtain that help support the well-being and overall health while being homeless. These supplies include but are not limited to underwear, socks, rain gear, etc.

We'll partner with the organization to determine the sizes of each item that are needed and our club will purchase the items, put them together in gallon ziplock bags and work with Urban Street Angels to distribute where needed. Our local homeless youth will be the beneficiaries.

The bags will be assembled as part of a San Diego Coastal Rotary Club meeting. The club members can voluntarily contribute to the items needed for the bags and we'll be asking all of our members to be involved with the creation of the bags. They'll also have the option to help distribute the items.

Final Report needs to be completed on-line in the Description page. This needs to be done by 6-10-18. We need to send our Report to The Rotary Foundation and schedule our District Grant Audit. Your grant has to be closed and included in both.
