Bring 2nd & 3rd grade classes from disadvantaged Chicago Public Schools to the Smart Art Museum on the U of Chicago campus for an initial visit. Provide 6 weeks of art instruction using the museum visit as a tool to increase understanding/appreciation of art, adding a peace message. Finally, returning each class to the museum to allow the students to view the art with new eyes.
