Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)
The Jazz as Therapy program is underway and a complete report will be submitted in mid-May 2018. This entry is being made to note a revision in the program work. The original program plan was for three program partners, and the program does still have 3 partners. One of the 3 partners has been revised; Linden Oaks/Edward Mental Health Care had a smaller role in the program than had been planned, with difficulty in gaining traction to provide a population from their institution. Hence, that role of providing a population to be served by the therapy project is replaced with Little Friends, Inc., who has assumed the role of providing a population from their autistic community who will benefit from the jazz therapy. A planned therapy pilot will take place on April 24, 2018. Pictures, updates, and complete historical information on the program will be provided after that session, closer to the mid-May time frame.
