Summary: Purchase technology for Veteran's Food Pantry to enable Veterans and non-Veterans to check out medical equipment and search for jobs. Rotarians will purchase hardware and software, educate on resumes, job searches, and interviewing skills.
Northwest MT Veterans Food Pantry outreach includes veterans, their families and non-veterans alike. It has been an integral part of the Evergreen Community since Feb 22, 2005, when it started in a shed by a local couple Allen and Linda Erickson. No one is turned away that needs food, clothing, shelter and a helping hand. Evergreen is a community that is growing and is primarily a lower income area. The technology that the pantry has is obsolete. We would purchase upgraded computers, software, printers, supplies, and a scanner that can be used to check out medical equipment and track inventory. With instruction from our club, we are going to commit to assisting with job search, resume building, interviewing and dressing to get the employment they need to support themselves, their families, and their communities.

We are getting an additional quote from a new local vendor in Evergreen as we may be able to get more donated labor then from previous quote - progressing into the first two months of 2018 with completion by March 2018.

03/28/2018 we are still obtaining new proposals for technology and installation. The first business was unable to follow thru so we currently have two bids in process will upload and update when we receive them. We continue to be active and in touch with the Veterans Food Pantry financially, in person and by phone and e-mail.
