Summary: Provide Kitchen equipment to program that primarily provides school lucnhes to underserved children.
The service has expressed a need to replace aging kitchen equipment with a primary need of commercial stove. In addition to club funds, club members will source equipment to meet the needs and budget of the service. Club members will also volunteer time and resources to install the equipment. Club members also volunteer on a regular basis to work in the kitchen. This project will increase the efficiency and capacity of the service. The program has expanded to provide weekend meals to eight title one schools and summer meals to underserved locations thru out Anchorage. There are estimated to be more than 20,000 hungry children in Anchorage that will benefit from this project.
This project is "Reported". This means that a report has been forwarded for review to the district leadership. This report is now being reviewed by the district leadership for approval. Once the report is accepted, the status of the project will be changed to "Completed".
