Project Description Country: USA Location: Payson Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: None Activity Type: Education: Scholarships Summary: Teachers are awarded scholarships based on their classroom needs The Rotary club of Payson will award scholarships to local teachers at the towns local schools. Teachers apply for the scholarship stating their classroom needs and the teachers use the money to purchase items for their classroom. These scholarships are awarded based off of teacher applications. A local BBQ is held being funded by the local Safeway store were the members of the Payson Rotary club along with our other Payson club, Rim Country, cook and hold the BBQ and give out the teacher scholarships. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) This project was started by RC Payson, but the club cancelled its charter during the year. Bob Dalby, was the President and is now in Rim Country. Thus, we transferred this project to Rim Country.
