Summary: Purchase of a new kiln which would allow the Westmont Elementary Students to intertwine the arts into their learning.
The Principal and Teachers of Westmont believe that having a kiln to make ceramic projects would benefit all Students. They desire to intertwine the arts into the Students learning and having the kiln would allow Students of all grade levels to learn and explore using clay as a medium. Students will develop their creative side while providing their families with a lasting treasure their Students made just for them. Rotarians will be involved on a rotational cycle where they would set up the kiln and then fire it up with the Student's work. This will be a fun and creative way for kids to interact with our Rotary Members. The kiln will be delivered in the Fall of 2018.
