Our local Rotarian, Chuck Larsen, has been going to Haiti for decades helping the people of Haiti get clean water. His organization Water 4 Haiti has been crucial for hundreds of people over the years to get clean water. Water 4 Haiti is funded only from private donations and two churches plus countless volunteer hours. Water 4 Haiti in the past 10 years has installed 300 plus new wells and pumps and they have repaired 2500 in Haiti. They have installed 50 irrigation pumps. The grant request is to dig and install two hand pumps (small irrigation system) in Haiti each at a cost of $1000.
