The purpose of the visit is for Cancer Survivors group support training, overseen by the Alaska Chapter of the American Cancer Society (Jess Gutzweiler, PP of Anchorage South RC), so the Russian team can initiate support groups in Russia when they return. The Russian team is to be headed by Kapatolina Alexyeva of the RC Yakutsk. The training will take place in Anchorage and Fairbanks. The North Pole Rotary Club and the Fairbanks Rotary Club will be involved. Russian guests will be provided local transportation and be hosted by Rotarians. The medical team consists of 4: two Chief doctors, Katya as an interpreter and project team member and myself, Kapatolina Alexyeva.
