Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Boise

Total Budget: $2,200

Area of Focus: Maternal and child health

Activity Type: Education: General

Summary: Our project is to provide school supplies and nutritional snacks for homeless students in the Boise School District

There are approximately 1700 homeless students in the Ada County with a large portion being located in the Boise School District. These students lack the resources to purchase the school supplies that are required for them to perform in the classroom. Our Club will be purchasing and packaging school supplies for Elementary School students to be distributed prior to the start of the school year. We will also be purchasing and packaging nutritious snacks for distributing prior to the 2019 spring break.

Tier 3 projects require a detailed spending plan. Also, to be complete and eligible for consideration, your grant application must be signed no later than June 1. To initiate this process, go into your grant. On the administration side of the description tab, click on “start club signature process”. On the next page, check only the names of the primary contact person and the 2018-19 club president, then click “Send application for signatures”. You’ll both receive an email with instructions for activating your electronic signature. Do what it says. Until the history logs in the matching grants system indicate that both people have signed, your application is not finished. Be sure to follow through!
