Project Description Country: USA Location: Azle, TX Total Budget: $1,600 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Personal Dictionaries given to every third grader in the 7 elementary schools in the Azle ISD. We are fortunate to have as club members the Superintendent of Schools and the Curriculum Director for the Azle ISD. They both agree that providing a free dictionary to each of the third graders in the 7 elementary schools stimulates learning and literacy at a low cost. We have a bid for $1600 for these dictionaries from Barnes & Noble. The Club has voted to make this one of its projects for 2013-14, and allocated a budget of $800 for it.
