Repair the roof of the animal pens at Palo Verde Valley High School ( PVVHS ). The forty+ year old roof over the animal pens have been rendered unsafe and can not be used until the wooden roof supports are repaired.Over 200 students use this facility to house their pigs, sheep, and goats. The students need to use these pens beginning in late November through March to house the very young animals. Students learn animal science, Ag Biology, Food Science,Vet Science, and include economic aspects of raising and caring for the animals which will be sold at auction in early spring. Our Blythe Club members will provide on-going counsel and guidance to the students. Blythe is a Title 1 ( low-income ) school located in a remote desert area.
