Project Description Country: USA Location: Coronado, CA Total Budget: $5,500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: RYLA encourages leadership in youth by recognizing and rewarding deserving 11th grade students who are chosen to attend RYLA as an 'award' for their past and present leadership and service Sixteen high school juniors from Coronado and Mar Vista High School will attend a three day camp at Idyllwild Pines, California. For these students participation in RYLA will provide education, motivation and life changing experiences. The camp includes transportaton, lodging, meals, motivational speakers and support from Facilitators who are Rotarians funded by District 5340. Students will receive advanced leadership experiences and knowledge of how Rotary provides services worldwide.
