Summary: Build a full scale model of the Wright Brother's Test Kite
The STEM class at Cerro Villa Middle School with instructor Daniel Baker as lead will build a full scale model of the Wright Brother's Test Kite (about 32 foot wingspan). The school's math and science departments will be involved in calculating the lift of the wings, the history department in creating a timeline from the beginning of their experiments to the first successful flight, the English department and the CVTV club in documenting the project. When the kite is built, we will run through some of the weight and maneuverability experiments that the Wright Brother's went through and any updated tests that we can accommodate.
