Project Description Country: USA Location: Northeast Phoenix, AZ Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Provide food for poor school children on weekends through the Paradise Valley Emergency Food Bank. Food4Kids Backpack Program provides weekend food for kids in need during the school year. The area on Northeast Phoenix called "The Square" consists of an area around Palomino school in the Paradise Valley School District. These are children from poor families who, without this program, would have inadequate food to eat on the weekends. This project will partially fund this weekend food program. The project is for the 2018-2019 school year. Rotary members will not be physically involved. With the funds provided, the Paradise Valley Food Bank will provide needed food for these children.
