The counselors of the Crowley ISD have identified several hundred children that are not receiving adequate food on non-school days.
The Crowley House of Hope has established a program that uses donations to purchase food, and volunteers to package the food items into portions that can be distributed for use on non-school days. The House of Hope has worked with a Nutritionist to identify food items appropriate for the program. Once packaged the items are delivered to the area schools and the school counselors distribute the food to those children most in need.
Proceeds from this grant would be used to purchase food for 2500 packages. Rotarians would then volunteer to help with packaging and delivery to the schools during the 2018-2019 year.
