The Rotary Club of North County San Diego - Route 78 has been supporting Hope for Mtshabezi for the past couple of years. The founder, Lindani Sibanda, is a nurse by profession and is a past member of our club. She left our club when work took her to New Mexico.
Hope for Mtshabezi, a Non- Profit Organization that has been providing free health care to the medically underserved people in South western part of Zimbabwe, has been granted permission by the Gwanda Rural Council and Gwanda Ministry of Health and Child care to build a clinic that will serve the population of the that area.
Hope for Mtshabezi has been providing free healthcare in the area since 2004. They have been actively working towards building a clinic since 2014, and construction started in 2018. For a complete history and pictures of the construction, please look at the newsletter at

Full documentation and plans for the project is located in the documents section of this grant request.
This is a financial donation from Route 78 Rotary to support the construction of a free medical clinic in Gwanda, Zimbabwe. I do not anticipate members of the club traveling or physically participating in Zimbabwe.
