Project Description Country: USA Location: Southlake/Grapevine TX Total Budget: $2,500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Dictionaries distributed to 3rd graders in Carroll and Grapevine/Colleyville School Districts Southlake Rotary Club will distribute dictionaries to all 3rd graders in Southlake Carroll School District and approximately 3 schools in Grapevine from GCISD. The timeline for the distribution of the dictionaries is generally in the first 2-3 months of the upcoming school year. The project funds are used to purchase the dictionaries and also Rotary stickers which we apply to the inside cover of the books which as the Rotary Four Way Test. The date of distribution has been set for Wed, 11/14 and Southlake Rotary members have signed up for the schools to deliver the dictionaries. It was active from Septmeber 2018, through November 2018. Dictionaries were distributed to 5 Southlake Carroll Elem Schools, and 4 Grapevine/Colleyville Schools. We included Spanish dictionaries at some of the Grapevine schools this year.
