Project Description Country: Kenya Location: Ruiru Total Budget: $1,300 Area of Focus: Economic and community development Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Provide school supplies to kids in a very impovershied area of Kenya Praise Gate (PG) - is a small project for street kids who are being rehabilitated and becoming part of the Praise Gate family. It is located in Ruiru, just north of Nairobi. There are 40 kids aged from 3 to 20. The children's home is very humble, but they are doing a great job of helping these children learning life skills as well as getting an education. The families of these students are very poor. They cannot afford to buy the uniforms or the books and school supplies needed for each student. The school is always short of funds and will greatly appreciate any help to buy the needed school supplies for these 40 students. Praise Gate has a friend in the Ruiru Rotary club. Her name is Sarah Thuo. She is familiar with Praise Gate and is interested and willing to represent Praise Gate to Rotary.
