Project Description Country: South Africa Location: Johannesburg Total Budget: $4,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: To provide special education for 20 abandoned children due to HIV and AIDS who reside at Oasis Haven in Johannesburg, South Africa. Oasis Haven provides care for abandoned children, placing them into forever families and equipping others to do the same. This grant will provide quality education to 20 children in Johannesburg orphaned due to HIV and AIDS. This funding would pay school fees for the children who call Oasis Haven home. Rotary has sponsored the school fees of the children at Oasis Haven for the last two years and this has provided quality education, going beyond basic; to become an investment in their lives. Rotarians are invited to donate directly or sponsor a child if they wish to become involved.
