Summary: Funds to support the needs of at risk/homeless students at Lamar High School
There are students at the local High School we support, Lamar High, that are either homeless or on the verge of homeless and don't have the funds to buy clothes, and food. Sometimes they need help with temporary shelter. Lamar HS has a social worker that works with these students and helps to find the resources to get them through these hard times. Our club would use these funds to buy the supplies that the social worker identifies as needed through out the 2018/2019 school year (ending in May). Our club would buy certain items to fund their store room (such as food) and buy a variety of clothes for the store room also.
This will help to alleviate Poverty, support education, and help keep the students healthy.
This should be considered a placeholder (per my discussion with Sharron Miles today) so these funds won't get reassigned.
This project is "Paid". This means that the funds from the district have been issued. This project is now being ready for implementation. When this is done, a report needs to be uploaded on the project page and the "Reported" button needs to be clicked, then the status of the project will be changed to "Reported".
