Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Agua Blanco, MX Total Budget: $3,000 Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy Activity Type: RI Youth Programs (Youth Exchange, RYLA, Rotaract, Interact) Summary: This project will enable Interact students to purchase, deliver and distribute clothing needs for 30 children in a remote village in Agua Blanco, MEX Our sister club in Mexico, Agua Prieta Rotario, has requested that our Interact students (15 students will participate on this trip) purchase, deliver and distribute clothes for 30 children in a remote impoverished area (2 hour drive from Agua Prieta) The request contained the specific clothing and shoe needs for individual children, ages 3 to 14, who feed into one local school. The clothing supports the children's ability to attend their local schoolThe Interact students, as well as 6 Rotarians, will deliver the clothing and small gifts to the children on Sunday, January 20th during our 4 day annual mission trip. In addition to personally delivering the clothing, the Interact students have been fundraising for this project over the past school year.
