Establish an ongoing support program entitled Safe Escape to assist victims of domestic violence. Families who are victims of domestic violence will benefit by receiving financial support allowing them to live independently from their previous situation and providing them the opportunity to live safely. This district grant request is for $2500 to be used as start up funds for Safe Escape program. Additional funds will be needed and will be raised by The Rotary Club of Anaconda and the Anaconda Community Foundation. Family support will be for a variety of things such as clothing, rent, utilities, food, furniture, etc. and will continue for up to 12 or more months depending of a families needs. Club members will be involved in a variety of ways, from coordinating with the Anaconda Victims Advocate and attending meetings, to providing transportation for families, shopping with the families for furniture, cloths, groceries, and assisting family moves within the Anaconda/Deerlodge area. Club members will also be responsible for all fund raising activities and events.
