Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Kingman Az

Total Budget: $7,750

Area of Focus: None

Activity Type: Community Development: General

Summary: Materials and Labor to build out one room in a local homeless Veteran's shelter in Kingman Az USA

The Jerry Ambrose Veteran's Council (JAVC)is a non-profit 501c.3 organization that helps homeless veterans.

"Operation 6: I Got Your Back" is a three phase program plan by the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council to buy the building, identify homeless veterans and help them find housing and gainful employment. JAVC intends for the building and its staff to offer a "hand up," not a hand out, to county veterans."

We are requesting grants money to help fund the build out of one room in the facility to support a homeless woman Veteran at the center. JAVC has obtained bids for the work. The room will provide shelter while the veteran is getting back on their feet, receiving education to help them move forward and allowing them to stay until they have enough funds to support themselves sufficiently once they have started working.

Correction to the project final report -the club donated $5750 not $6000 for this portion of the project.

Hi, Karen! An invoice and copy of a check were uploaded. Neither of these are acceptable, and I had to delete the file. Copies of a check are forbidden on this public website. Also, a receipt is not an invoice. Please obtain a receipt or something marked as "PAID" by the vendor, not your own club. Once that is done, click REPOrTED again.
