Summary: Provide money for seeds to plant in garden boxes installed in the schools 2018 - 2019 in Anchorage
One in five children go hungry in the Anchorage School District. Last year four local Rotary clubs worked together to build over 40 raised garden boxes and will be or have installed them all at over 10 area schools. This project is to provide the schools with seeds to continue the work started by installing the boxes. The produce raised in the boxes goes to the students or The Children's Lunch Box program to provide meals to these hungry children. This will help to establish the idea inthe children's minds the source of thier food and that it can be sustained and continueing.
